TORONTO, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation (TSX:SC) today
announced that beginning this November, it will reveal its innovative and
exciting new retail beauty concept store: Murale™.
Murale, a name that is distinctive, expressive and highly suggestive of
art and beauty, will be a new beauty destination for those seeking
unparalleled service and access to the world's best beauty brands. Emphasis on
advanced dermatological skin care and luxury beauty, an elevated level of
expertise, personal service and unbiased advice will come together in an
atmosphere that caters to creativity and accessibility.

innovative and leading beauty products, services, consultation, and advice,"

The Company plans to launch two stores prior to the end of 2008. The
first highly anticipated Murale will open in the nation's capital, Ottawa, in
Place D'Orleans this November. The concept's premiere in Ottawa will be
followed closely by the opening of Murale's first flagship store in the
prominent Galerie Place Ville-Marie in Montreal.

house over 200 select dermatological, luxury beauty, fragrance and niche
