Intense Perfecting Serum

TORONTO, Sept. 10 /CNW/ - Boots No7 Refine & Rewind Intense Perfecting
Serum makes a visible and structural improvement to the skin, reducing the
appearance of facial wrinkles when used long term, according to a University
of Manchester year long clinical study. No7 Refine & Rewind Intense Perfecting
Serum, ($28) is available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix
stores in Canada.
No7 Refine & Rewind Intense Perfecting Serum (known as No7 Protect &
Perfect Intense Beauty Serum in the United Kingdom), was extensively tested in
a recent independent 12-month clinical trial funded by Boots. The results show
that, when used long term, the product produces a clinically discernable
improvement in wrinkles in photo-aged skin.
Seventy percent of the volunteers using the product showed a marked
improvement in the appearance of photo-aged skin, and a visible and structural
improvement. This study and revolutionary research is the latest step on the
Boots journey to provide further independent, compelling proof of the
performance of its No7 products, and sets the bar for all beauty companies to
test their products rigorously.
"With this research, we have shown a commercially available anti-aging
product can actually improve the appearance of facial wrinkles when used in
the long-term," said Stewart Long, Boots Skincare Scientific Advisor. "To our
knowledge, this is the first time such benefits have been reported for a
non-prescription cosmetic 'anti-aging' product. Consumers purchasing cosmetic
skincare items can choose from a variety of products which have only limited
published data regarding their efficacy. In undertaking this study, we feel we
have answered our customers, and the market, proving that Boots No7 products
really can help to improve skin's appearance."
A rich super-intensive formula clinically proven to change the levels of
fibrillin, a component of the skin's elastic tissue, No7 Refine & Rewind
Intense Perfecting Serum reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It uses
a formula containing retinyl palmitate, antioxidants and firming peptides,
combined with extract of alfalfa, to produce a more intensive wrinkle fighting
action.
The results are instantaneous, as people using No7 Refine & Rewind
Intense Perfecting Serum report an immediate difference and more radiant,
softer and smoother skin after initial use. After two weeks, skin feels
firmer; after three weeks, deep lines and wrinkles are less visible; and by
four weeks, skin is younger looking. Long term, No7 Refine & Rewind Intense
Perfecting Serum has been independently clinically proven to restore skin's
structure, visibly diminishing lines and wrinkles.
The No7 line of skin care and cosmetics products has been widely popular
with Shoppers Drug Mart customers since the brand's exclusive launch in Canada
in 2007. No7 Refine & Rewind Intense Perfecting Serum is already one of the
line's top five sellers in Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores. Given the
recent clinical results, the Company expects there to be even greater demand
for this affordable and effective anti-aging serum.
